Basic Astronomy (8-12 yrs)

Introducing children to basic astronomy projects not only ignites their curiosity about the universe but also cultivates essential skills. Through hands-on activities, they develop a sense of wonder and are inspired to explore the cosmos further. The astronomy projects also foster problem-solving, critical thinking, and patience as children experiment and troubleshoot. By immersing themselves in basic astronomy, children gain a deeper appreciation for science and the marvels of the universe, setting the stage for lifelong learning and curiosity. Basic Astronomy (8-12 yrs).

In the course of this workshop, children will learn:

• Construction of Sun-dial and measuring the Local Time
• Construction of a model to study the Zodiacal constellations
• Construction of a Star-clock
