Event Description

DIY Clay Craft (8-18 yrs)

Clay as a crafting medium offers a myriad of benefits for children, igniting their creativity and imagination as they shape and mould it into endless forms. The tactile nature of clay enhances fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, providing a hands-on learning experience that engages their senses. Moreover, the process of working with clay cultivates problem-solving abilities and patience, as children experiment with different techniques and methods to achieve their desired outcomes. Through trial and error, they develop resilience and a profound sense of accomplishment, fostering self-expression and confidence in their abilities. Beyond individual growth, clay crafting encourages social interaction as children collaborate, share ideas, and appreciate each other's creations, thereby nurturing a sense of community. Furthermore, the therapeutic nature of working with clay offers stress relief, promoting emotional well-being and enriching overall development in children.

In the course of this workshop, children will learn an exciting new clay craft each day of the workshop and carry it back with them to use/decorate in their homes.

Note: all materials will be provided to the children by the workshop instructor.
